The PG Department of Social Work, Carmelgiri College, Adimali, in association with ESAF Foundation, successfully organized the "Toofan – All Kerala Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign" on 17 July 2026 (Friday) as part of a statewide initiative to create awareness among school students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The awareness campaign was conducted in four government schools across Idukki district according to the following schedule:
Govt. High School, Adimali – 10:00 AM
Govt. High School, Machiplavu – 11:30 AM
Govt. Janatha UP School, 1000 Acre – 1:15 PM
Govt. High School, Kallarkutty – 2:30 PM
The campaign concluded successfully with the message:
"Our Voice. Our Strength. A Drug-Free Tomorrow."
The programme effectively achieved its objective of sensitizing young minds about the dangers of drug abuse and inspiring them to become ambassadors of a healthy and drug-free society.
